Cicatrix
From tocks and ticks
Like wax from melted
Candlesticks
Wounds of old
Of fire and gold
Exposed when forgotten
Dreams unfold

Really? It feels a little, to me, like it’s missing something ): So, thanks, that makes me feel a bit better

I definitely feel that way about mine, pretty often actually, but I do think this is lovely. I like the way the rhymes flow in it, it can be easy to get stuck thinking you have to stay in a rigid structure of some sort.
